Brief introduction on features.

New news indicator
- An optional new news indicator will appear automatically next to the headline if the news is newer than X days. You may set the value of X and you may also turn this feature off at the "Edit Other Options" mode. Please see example below (this feature is not in the demo).

Add category icon
- You may name and upload your own category icon images.
- The script comes with more than 20 icon images.

Delete category icons
- You may delete any category icon.
- If a category is deleted, all associated news will also be deleted.

Add news
- Post a new news.
- You may select a category icon.
- You may select the display mode (see below).
- You may upload an image to be embedded in the popup window.
- You may include links in the body of the news (in either display mode mentioned below).

Edit news
- You may edit the headline or detailed story.
- You may change the category icon.
- You may change the embedded image.
- To may change the detailed story display mode.
- You may optionally update the date of the news.

Delete news
- With confirmation page.
- When you delete a news, the embedded image will also be deleted from the server (hence no accumulation of junk files).

Display mode of detailed story
- You may choose to display the detailed story directly under the headline in the shtml page or
- Display the detailed story through a link. The detailed story is shown in a popup window when the link is clicked.

Delete all news (in one step)
- With confirmation page.

View news
- Brought you to the page where your news is displayed (you specify it under "Edit Other Options").

View all category icons
- This link is available in the Add News, Edit News, Add Category and Delete Category modes.
- When clicking on it, a little popup window will appear showing all the currently available category icons.

Change password
- The default password "upoint" can be changed.

Edit template
- Customize your own header and footer. Eg., a text image "Latest News" as header.

Edit other options
- The look of the SSI and popup display is fully customizable. This online feature allows you to set your own font types, sizes, colors and other attributes.
- You may also set the dimension of the popup window.
- Also, the popup links' color and max characters in content.

Pro Version:

Limit news display by "Maximum news" and "News Category"
- You may limit the maximum number of news to be displayed.
- You may limit the category of news to be displayed or both.
